Pippa Middleton BumPippa Middleton’s rear end has gained a ton of publicity recently after it stole the show from her sister at the royal wedding.  Her now semi-royal asset even has it’s own Facebook page.  Not only that, it has men around the world gawking and women either jealous or looking for her workout routines.  Well, I’ve got good and bad news for you ladies out there who want a bum like Pippa Middleton.

The bad news is her shapely butt is mostly genetic and enhanced by youth and active participation in sports.  The good news is even if you haven’t drunk from the fountain of youth, you too can have a firm and shapely bottom by adding a few simple and effective exercises to your routine.  Let’s take a look at what you can do…

Bodyweight Squats
A staple of most bodyweight exercise routines, the squat works the entire legs as well as the glutes.  It will not tone glutes alone, but is an effective exercises for the entire lower body.

Lunges are very effective for toning and firming the upper legs and glutes.  I particularly favor the 360 degree lunge.

Half Squats
Training a muscle group at its weakest point is quite effective for muscle development.  During a squat, the weakest part of the movement is the first 30%.  So, to do half squats, you begin at the bottom position and move to half way to the completed position (standing) and return to the bottom.  These will be be challenging, but very worth it.

Stair Climbing
The movement of stepping upwards and lifting all your weight with one leg over and over again will build strong, firm and killer looking glutes.  Visit any Eastern European country that has lots of stairwells and few elevators and spend a few minutes checking out butts walking down the sidewalks.  You can tell the girls that climb lots of stairs.  To get more out of each step, make it longer by taking two steps at a time, but be careful not to fall.

In conclusion, you don’t have to be blessed with the genetics of Beyonce or Pippa Middleton to have a great butt.  Add the above exercises to your workouts and see the results.
